Location: Maidenhead, SL6
Salary: £12.60 - £13.30 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
UK License with access to a vehicle is necessary.
About Danes House
Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Maidenhead provides support for people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health. We understand the importance of providing person-centred support that enables independence and meets each individual's needs.
Role Context
As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service, including providing personal and practical assistance to meet individual needs.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
* Promoting independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
* Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
* Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying people to routine appointments or administering medication.
* Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
* Assisting with personal care as required.
* Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
* Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
We Are Looking For
* Holds a valid driver’s license and has access to their own vehicle
* Comfortable delivering personal care to a male client
* Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
