We’re supporting a well-led secondary school seeking a passionate History Teacher who can inspire students to think critically, question confidently, and understand the world through the lens of the past. You’ll be teaching across key stages, with the chance to guide learners right through to A-Level.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll:
* Teach History across KS3, KS4 and KS5
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons on topics from ancient civilisations to modern conflicts
* Encourage evidence-based thinking, debate, and contextual understanding
* Support GCSE and A-Level learners with structured revision and assessment preparation
* Contribute to the wider life of the department—enrichment, trips, and curriculum design
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds QTS and a relevant degree in History or a related field
* Has experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3–KS5 preferred)
* Creates dynamic, inclusive, and thought-provoking learning environments
* Understands how to stretch and support learners of all backgrounds
* Brings a love of the subject that’s both infectious and grounded in solid pedagogy
