The job itself
Little Weighton Rowley Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a teaching assistant and after school club supervisor, ideally to start as soon as possible. The role is full-time -37 hours per week, term-time only. There is a possibility of this role being a job share, if two suitable candidates apply. The role will mainly involve working one to one with an early years' child with additional needs. There will also be an opportunity to lead play sessions in our after-school club twice a week. This club runs from 3.30 to 5.30pm.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, caring individuals with a commitment to supporting teaching and learning for all, within a nurturing environment. Ideally you will have experience of working within a school or nursery setting, supporting a child with additional needs. Experience of working alongside outside agencies such as the Speech and Language Service, occupational therapists, Sensory and Physical Therapy Service (SaPTS) would be advantageous.

In this role you are required to speak English with sufficient fluency to effectively perform your duties, as required by Section 42 of the Immigration Act 2016.
In line with statutory guidance: Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025), a DBS check will be needed and an online search will be carried out on all shortlisted candidates.
