Role Summary and Impact
Paid Social Account Director – DFS Group. We are looking for a paid social specialist to continue their career as Account Director. This person will assume day-to-day responsibility for the paid social output of a busy client account (or accounts) and will also help oversee a team of more junior staff responsible for the everyday running of the account. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of paid advertising across all key social channels and will develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders, becoming a trusted voice for all things paid social.
You will hold excellent knowledge of the UK social media landscape and be well-versed in planning and activating across digital media, including DR and Brand. You will work closely with other media specialists to oversee delivery of an integrated plan, often taking the lead in using digital/social to link other media channels and understanding how other media plans fit in the system. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional social work as well as managing a team of planners and executives.
Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day paid social output for a busy client account (or accounts).
* Lead and develop a team of junior staff responsible for the running of the account.
* Develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders; act as a trusted voice for paid social.
* Manage paid social campaigns across key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snap, TikTok, etc.).
* Plan, activate, and optimise campaigns in the UK social landscape; align with DR and Brand objectives.
* Collaborate with other media specialists to deliver integrated plans and connect digital/social with other media channels.
* Deliver high-quality social output and prepare client-facing reports and presentations.
* Lead and mentor a team, including training and supporting junior staff across all aspects of paid social.
* Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment and effective communication with stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
* Extensive experience setting up and optimising paid social campaigns across key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snap, TikTok, etc.).
* Training certifications in key platforms (e.g., Meta Blueprint) are a plus.
* Experience planning large-scale paid social campaigns with a mix of brand and direct-response objectives.
* Experience compiling detailed end-of-campaign reports and presentations; ability to co-create regular client presentations (QBRs, annual reviews, etc.).
* Track record of working with clients and external stakeholders; comfortable presenting to clients and leading calls as required.
* Experience managing and mentoring others; excellent communication across diverse backgrounds and teams.
* Strong teamwork, collaboration, and a can-do attitude.
