Research Associate - School of the Built Environment and Architecture, London South Bank University
We are seeking a highly organized individual with strong interpersonal skills to join our team as a Research Associate (RA) within the School of the Built Environment and Architecture at London South Bank University.
About the role:
Working as part of the Centre for Civil and Building Services Engineering (CCiBSE), the Research Associate will work on a recently funded Innovate UK (IUK) project focused on hydrogen storage and energy systems. The project involves multiple industry partners, aiming to design, develop, and demonstrate an innovative hydrogen storage and energy system capable of operating effectively under various conditions.
Your responsibilities include the detailed design of test facilities, calibration and installation of instrumentation and data logging systems, conducting experimental investigations, and developing thermodynamic models of the system.
Qualifications and skills required:
* Background in energy or mechanical engineering
* Knowledge of industrial waste heat, heat exchangers, thermodynamic cycles, heat and mass transfer
* Experience with instrumentation, process monitoring and analysis
* Proficiency in thermodynamic modelling
