Business Development Manager
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a rapidly growing and profitable company that has doubled revenue in the past 12 months. You will be targeting specialist contractors and major industrial and manufacturing businesses across sectors such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, automotive and aerospace.
Day-to-day responsibilities include contacting potential clients via the CRM system, qualifying additional contacts with the support of the research and marketing team, and following a consistent but adaptable sales process. You will engage with multiple stakeholders within each opportunity, support customer meetings with presentations, and attend occasional exhibitions to generate and follow up on high-quality leads.
Leads will also be passed through the wider sales team, requiring swift action to secure appointments. You will be expected to handle basic technical questions and ensure opportunities are developed effectively and efficiently. The role is based at the Hertfordshire office three to four days per week.
Requirements:
·To be considered for the Business Development Manager role:
Proven track record of success in B2B phone-based sales
Ability to thrive in a technical and project-driven environment
·Strong strategic thinking and creativity in generating leads
·Energetic, determined and resilient approach with a professional manner
·Computer literate and comfortable engaging across platforms such as LinkedIn and Glenigan
·Full UK driving licence
The Package for Business Development Manager:
·£45,000 - £55,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
·£17,000 uncapped OTE, paid monthly
·21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising to 25 days with service
