Why Join Us?
At MM Engineering, we don't just build products – we build careers. We're one of the UK's fastest-growing manufacturers of flood defence systems, supplying critical projects for the nation's utilities and infrastructure. From our state-of-the-art factory in Port Talbot, we design, manufacture, and deliver engineering solutions that protect communities across the country.
Joining our team means more than just a job – it's the chance to build on your skills, gain recognised qualifications, and grow into a highly skilled trade that's in demand across multiple industries.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated Junior Paint Sprayer to join our factory team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has some paint spraying experience (industrial or automotive) and wants to take it further in a professional, high-quality manufacturing environment.
You'll work on fabricated steel components for critical infrastructure projects across the UK, applying advanced protective coatings that make a real difference. For candidates with limited experience, we'll provide full training and support – but if you already have hands-on spraying skills, you'll hit the ground running and see faster progression.
This is your chance to:
* Develop your spraying expertise under the guidance of experienced professionals.
* Learn to apply advanced industrial coatings in a controlled factory setting.
* Take on real responsibility with clear routes for career progression.
* Be part of a close-knit, supportive team where effort and quality are recognised.
What You'll Learn
* Preparing and finishing fabricated steelwork for painting (masking, sanding, cleaning).
* Applying primers, topcoats, and specialist industrial coatings.
* Using professional spray equipment (including airless spray guns).
* Working to strict health & safety and quality standards.
* Maintaining spray booths and industrial equipment.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from all backgrounds – but we'll give strong preference to candidates with prior spraying experience, particularly in industrial or automotive painting.
You'll need to be:
* Keen to learn and develop your skills further.
* Hardworking and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
* Safety-conscious, comfortable with PPE and factory environments.
* A team player who takes pride in producing high-quality work.
What You'll Get in Return
* Full training tailored to your skill level – whether beginner or experienced.
* Faster progression if you already bring paint spraying experience.
* Support in gaining industry-recognised qualifications.
* Competitive pay, overtime opportunities, corporate gym membership and a company pension.
* A role in a growing company with long-term career opportunities.
