Progress Teachers are currently recruiting for a passionate and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to support a mainstream Secondary school in Peterborough.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychology, with the ability to inspire and engage students across GCSE and A-level classes, supporting them to realise their full potential and make positive progress.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students across GCSE and A-level.
* Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
* Implement effective assessment strategies in line with school policy.
* Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support positive progress.
* Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and wider responsibilities as required.
Requirements/Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is highly advantageous, however, experienced non-qualified teachers will be considered for the role.
* Proven experience teaching psychology at the secondary level, with a track record of student achievement is also advantageous, however, strong ECTs will also be considered for the role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate all pupils.
* Effective classroom management skills.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
* A DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain.
