We are partnering with an ambitious, fast-growing UK-based pet food subscription company on a mission to make mealtimes healthier, simpler, and more personalized for pets and owners. This independently owned company values high-quality nutrition, sustainability, and seamless customer experience. With direct supplier relationships across Thailand and the Pacific, and a loyal UK customer base, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead supply chain, warehousing, HR compliance, and operational processes.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will oversee daily operations including supplier management, stock control, logistics, HR processes, and health & safety. You will manage a small in-house team (warehouse manager, pickers, packers) and coordinate with international suppliers and freight handlers to ensure smooth operations. This role requires a hands-on approach, comfortable with both detailed spreadsheets and warehouse floor activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead all aspects of supply chain management, warehousing, and customer service.
2. Manage relationships with international suppliers, especially in Thailand and the Pacific region.
3. Monitor and forecast stock levels, ensuring timely shipments and reordering.
4. Oversee freight logistics and full documentation for shipments.
5. Support and develop the warehouse team, including direct management of the Warehouse Manager.
6. Ensure compliance with HR and H&S regulations, including risk assessments and onboarding processes.
7. Review and improve operational systems and quality controls.
8. Prepare monthly KPI reports and monitor operational performance.
9. Stay informed on competitor activity and provide strategic insights.
Qualifications
* 3+ years experience in operations and supply chain management.
* Strong knowledge of international logistics and stock planning.
* High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
* Effective communicator and team leader.
* Comfortable with office tasks and warehouse support.
* Familiarity with H&S standards and HR processes.
* Proactive, practical, and solutions-oriented mindset.
