Portable Foods Manufacturing Company Ltd is part of the Mars Snacking Group, producing cereal bars and fruit snacks. Based in Wrexham, North Wales, we are committed to sustaining a culture of extensive training, support and development for our flexible multi-skilled teams.
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our team on a fixed term contract to ensure efficient scheduling, material availability, and inventory control to support smooth production operations.
A Taste of What You Will Be Doing:
· Manage short-term scheduling for production and operations, creating and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules aligned with customer demand and capacity.
· Oversee material planning to ensure timely availability of resources, forecasting needs and coordinating with procurement.
· Maintain stock control by monitoring inventory levels, reconciling variances, and implementing corrective actions.
· Order materials and packaging from approved suppliers, raising purchase orders and expediting deliveries when needed.
· Manage SE schedules to minimize disruption and ensure alignment with operational priorities.
· Conduct regular stock checks and report findings to the Planning Lead.
· Attend tier meetings to provide updates and resolve planning issues collaboratively.
We're Looking for Someone With:
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
· Experience in production planning, material management, or inventory control.
· Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively across teams and maintain attention to detail under pressure.

Pay: £40,000.00 per year
