The Business Development Executive plays a key role in driving revenue growth forCanapiiby owning the full top-of-funnel process across their territory. This is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through strategic prospecting, relationship-building and collaboration with Account Executives and Marketing.
You will be expected tooperatewith a high degree of autonomy, making informed commercial decisions daily to consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales targets. Outreach will be conducted primarily via phone, email, social channels and tailored multi-touch campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a proactive member of the Sales, CustomerSuccessand Marketing teams, contributing ideas for campaigns, messagingthemesand prospecting strategies.
* Develop and execute territory-specific prospecting plans aligned to overall revenueobjectives.
* Support the delivery of sales plans and conversion of opportunities.
* Identify,engageand qualify decision-makers and key buying influencers, confirming budget,needand timeline.
* Set high-quality meetings and smoothly transition qualified opportunities to Account Executives.
* Build and nurture long-term relationships with prospects through consistent, value-driven communication.
* Create compelling, personalised outreach across phone, email and written formats that resonates with senior business and technology leaders.
* Support and follow up on corporate marketing initiatives and campaign activity.
* Maintain exceptional CRM hygiene – ensuring all prospect data, communications,notesand documents areaccurateand fully logged.
* Track performance against KPIs andprovideregular insight into pipeline health,trendsand opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years’ experiencein a Business Development, Sales Development or similar B2B role (SaaS / technology experience highly desirable).
* Proventrack recordof consistently generating and qualifying high-value sales opportunities.
* Confident engaging C-level and senior stakeholders, with the ability to think on your feet and tailor conversations in real time.
* Strategic mindset – able to combine activity-based metrics with thoughtful pipeline management.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Highly organised,self-motivatedand able to work independently in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
* Analytical, customer-focusedand solutions-driven with a consultative selling approach.
