Sizewell C is a groundbreaking nuclear power project that will play a key role in meeting the UK's energy needs while reducing carbon emissions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Controller to join the Sizewell C Power Plant project team. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling all project-related costs, ensuring the project stays within budget while meeting financial and operational objectives. Key Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in cost control, project controls, or project management within large-scale infrastructure or energy projects. Experience working on major construction or engineering projects, preferably within the nuclear, power, or energy sector. Proficiency in cost control software and financial management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Primavera P6, or similar). Strong understanding of project cost management, budgeting, and financial forecasting techniques. Familiarity with risk management principles and cost analysis methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain detailed project cost control systems and processes Track and monitor the project’s expenditure against budget and work with project teams to resolve any cost overruns Review and approve cost-related invoices and ensure they are in line with contract terms Prepare monthly cost reports for the project team, senior management, and external stakeholders Analyse and report on cost deviations Produce accurate cost forecasts, cash flow projections Assist in the preparation of the project budget Perform regular budget updates and track cost variations. Support the Senior Project Cost Manager Identify potential cost risks and opportunities Support the team in implementing cost-saving strategies s. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to monitor cost performance Ensure accurate recording and tracking of cost data Why Work With Us?
