We facilitate the governance processes and compliance requirements of MATs using our TrustGov MIS, a SaaS product. Our team brings together extensive experience and senior leadership skills from the education, governance, and HR sectors.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Governance Partner located in County Durham with some work-from-home flexibility. As Governance Partner you will be responsible for providing expert advice on governance procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing and implementing governance policies, and supporting the senior leadership team in governance-related activities. Day-to-day tasks include full wrap around clerking support, conducting governance reviews, preparing reports, organising training sessions, and ensuring effective communication between the governance team, your caseload of boards and other wider stakeholders.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Experience in governance development, compliance, and policy implementation is a preference.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills.
* Be confident communicators who can utilise a range of communication methods with a personable approach.
* Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
* Take a proactive and flexible approach to work, with the capability to work as both part of a team and through self-initiative.
* Have excellent time management and organisation skills understanding the importance of detail and accuracy.
* Demonstrate the ability to produce high quality minutes of meetings and provide an ongoing responsive service
* Knowledge of the education sector and Multi Academy Trusts is a plus.
* Be keen to undertake training and development and learn new skills.

Please note
* Some meetings are held in the afternoon/evenings therefore there is a requirement to work outside of ‘normal’ working hours and for the candidate to be adaptable in their approach.
* Start and finish times for days of working will be flexible and this role will suit those candidates with effective time management skills.
* Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for travelling to Trust/School sites.
