About The Role
Please note, this is a part-time contract working two 12-hour shifts per week, 8-8.
In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell.
By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join our team. Whether providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite, or palliative care, our focus is on delivering the highest quality service at all times.
As a Care Assistant, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents. This includes assisting with personal care activities such as washing, hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.
You will deliver care with heart, ensuring residents maintain their dignity and individuality. You might help someone with limited mobility learn to use an aid, offer emotional support to distressed residents, or provide end-of-life care, always prioritizing their well-being.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are required.
