Candidates will be required to have NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education or equivalent, to support learning in the school. The Teaching Assistant will be required to work under the guidance of, and with the supervision of the Teaching and Senior Staff to implement agreed programmes of work. The postholder will be expected to support class teachers with assessment procedures and behaviour management. There will be a focus on working as a member of our strong school team, encouraging positive behaviour in our children and assisting them in achieving high standards. There will be a requirement to understand and have prior experience of working with junior aged children. The postholder may be expected to lead a Read, Write, Inc group and ensure resources are readied and work marked to a high standard.
