The Walk‑In Service hosted by the Out of Hours Primary Care (GMED) team is looking to recruit a Salaried GP to join our dynamic and responsive service.
Walk‑in services provide same‑day access to urgent primary care without the need for a booked appointment and form part of a major national pilot programme funded by the Scottish Government. This programme is helping to shape future models of urgent and unscheduled care across Scotland.

Responsibilities
* Provide a full range of general medical services including urgent assessment, diagnosis, treatment and onward referral.
* Work closely with the Clinical Lead, Service Manager and wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality, safe, person‑centred care.
* Play an active role in the continuing development of the service.
* Deliver evening and weekend work, contributing to cover arrangements for colleague annual or study leave.
Qualifications
* Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. (licence must be in place prior to starting in post).
* Experience as a GP is expected.
Contract Details
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (flexible working considered)
Salary: £77,160 – £115,167 per annum / pro rata (with enhanced pay for evening/weekend work)

Additional Information
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
