Job Title: Clinical Negligence Solicitor Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: Competitive Bonus Comprehensive Benefits I am currently working with a leading national law firm seeking to appoint a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its highly regarded Health Litigation team in Leeds. The Role You will manage a caseload of defended clinical negligence claims, acting on behalf of healthcare bodies and medical defence clients. The work is varied, high quality and often complex. Your responsibilities will include: Drafting reports Interviewing witnesses Preparing witness statements Instructing experts and Counsel Attending Case Management Conferences and Application Hearings Negotiating settlements Holding conferences with Counsel Preparing for and attending trials and mediations In addition, you will: Support secondments to key healthcare clients Assist colleagues with higher-value claims Deliver client training and presentations Draft articles and contribute to client communications Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships Contribute to business development initiatives Supervise junior colleagues and support team development About You To be considered for this role, you will: Be a Qualified Solicitor (SRA or CILEx routes considered) Ideally have experience within a clinical negligence defence environment (experience with healthcare panel clients or medical defence organisations advantageous but not essential) Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Understand and adhere to client protocols and KPIs Take a proactive, pragmatic and quality-focused approach Have excellent organisational, communication and drafting skills Show strong attention to detail and awareness of client data security requirements Demonstrate evidence of meeting time recording and contribution targets Candidates who may not meet every listed criterion but can demonstrate strong potential and relevant transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
