About Us Abingdon Community Support Service's primary purpose is to support adults to engage with a stimulating programme of meaningful individual and rewarding group activities. The Social and Community Services vision is to support and promote strong communities so that people live their lives as successfully, independently and safely as possible. We believe that people themselves, regardless of age or ability, are best placed to determine the help they need and how they would like to spend their time. About the Role We are seeking a flexible and motivated Support Worker/Driver to be part of a team which provides the highest standards of activities, personal care and support to people whose needs may include: Learning Disability, Mental Health, Autism, Dementia, other age related needs or feeling vulnerable or isolated. Driving is an essential part of the role as we collect people, take them out within the community during the day and return them home at the end of day. About you For the above position you will need to be able to deliver support in all aspects of daily living and personal care in a dignified and confidential manner whilst promoting independence and helping an individual to achieve their aims and goals. Previous experience within a care and support, and driving role is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.
