Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and effective communication with both customers and warehouse staff. Responsibilities
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
* Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues or delays promptly.
* Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading processes.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role.
* Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in handling delivery documentation.
