The Role:
Working, as part of a team or individually, within the Environment section the post holder will be responsible for:
1. Procurement and ongoing management of waste and related contracts
2. Validating and processing income and expenditure reports
3. Managing and reporting waste data and information; internally for service requirements and externally in line with statutory and other obligations
Hours of work: 36hrs per week
Essential Criteria:
Education & Qualification
4. Have a minimum of a Level 6* qualification or equivalent for eg University Degree in a relevant discipline ie Procurement, Contracts Management, Waste Management, Business Management
AND
5. At least 1 year's experience in all of the following areas:
6. Contract Procurement to include the preparation of tender documentation
7. The ongoing management of contracts to include the monitoring of KPIs
8. The validation and processing of income and expenditure reports
9. Data management, analysis and reporting
OR
10. In lieu of qualification above 3 years' experience in all of the following:
11. Contract Procurement to include the preparation of tender documentation
12. The ongoing management of contracts to include the monitoring of KPIs
13. The validation and processing of income and expenditure reports
14. Data management, analysis and reporting
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
15. Be able to demonstrate advanced experience in the use of Microsoft Excel
Other Requirements:
16. Hold a full current driving licence and access to transport, or access to transport to meet the requirements of the post
17. Ability to work outside of normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and public/bank holidays
Desirable Criteria:
18. At least 1 year's experience of working within a Waster Management environment
Rate of Pay: £ p/hr
