Role Overview
A national, sector-focused law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its established Corporate and Commercial Disputes team.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including high-value and complex disputes. The successful candidate will advise on contract disputes, procurement challenges, construction disputes, partnership issues, governance matters, complaints, and internal investigations.
The team works closely with public sector bodies, health and social care providers, and charities, supporting them through both contentious matters and the day-to-day legal challenges of operating in highly regulated environments. This is an opportunity to undertake meaningful, purpose-driven work while contributing to the continued growth of a highly regarded practice.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
As a guide applicants should have a minimum of 3–5 years’ PQE in commercial dispute resolution.
You will be able to demonstrate:
* A strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
* Experience of alternative dispute resolution processes
* Practical involvement in key pre-trial stages, including pre-action work, merits assessment, instructing counsel, disclosure, witness statements, expert liaison, and trial preparation
* The ability to interpret complex contractual arrangements and clearly communicate risks and solutions
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational and time-management ability
* Commercial awareness and understanding of diverse client needs
* Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
Experience advising clients in the health, social care, or charity sectors, and/or exposure to partnership disputes, would be advantageous but is not essential.
