Overview
The Site Agent will be based on our York Central site, overseeing two large structures over the East Coast mainline. He/she will be the construction leader on the ground, managing the overall day-to-day supervision of the construction site. The Site Agent will monitor site preparation prior to project launch and oversee safe, efficient operations throughout the construction phase.

Responsibilities
1. Participate in compiling the initial programme and maintain awareness of weekly targets.
2. Plan and oversee site setup, ensuring facilities are in place before project launch.
3. Manage relationships with subcontractors onsite.
4. Ensure adherence to HSEQS protocols at all times.
5. Maintain quality control procedures.
6. Ensure the TWR is in place and up-to-date.
7. Monitor onsite energy and waste data.
8. Implement an efficient registration system for monitoring individuals entering and leaving the site.
9. Communicate issues to Contract Management/Commercial Teams that could impact project delivery.
10. Drive project pace and plan fieldwork.
11. Coordinate and prioritize site activities.
12. Manage a team of foremen and other site staff.
Experience
1. Strong people management skills.
2. Knowledge of good industrial relations practices.
3. Ability to handle conflicting priorities and difficult stakeholders, especially subcontractors.
4. Effective communication skills, adaptable to audience.
5. Ability to build consensus.
6. Extensive experience (over ten years) across various sectoral projects.
7. Experience leading teams and delivering medium to large-scale projects.
8. Rail sector experience is desirable.
Qualifications
1. Trade or technical background.
2. IOSH or equivalent HSE management training.
3. Training in Temporary Works & Excavation Safety.
4. Permitting for live energy works.
5. Working at Heights & Scaffolding.
6. Lifting & Cranage operations.
7. Other HSEQS training as per site HSE plan.
8. Knowledge of new construction technologies.
9. Understanding of BIM strategy.
