In this high-impact role, you'll report directly to the Director of Core Operations and lead the development and delivery of a refreshed Healthcare People Model across our store estate. You'll play a key role in shaping how we evolve our healthcare workforce over the short (1–2 years), medium (3–5 years), and long term (5 years), ensuring we're ready to meet the needs of our customers and communities. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the Healthcare Business Unit, you'll align workforce planning with our bold transformation agenda – like the rollout of regional dispensing hubs and other innovative service models. Key responsibilities Shape the future of our healthcare workforce by translating business ambitions—like the rollout of regional dispensing hubs—into clear, actionable workforce model requirements. Partner with the Head of Workforce Operations to support the design for a sustainable, future-ready workforce planning and funding model that supports long-term growth. Lead the change at store level by developing a compelling communications plan and ensuring colleagues are at the heart of every transformation. Collaborate with Strategic Workforce Planning and HR teams to develop shape of investment strategies. Drive stakeholder engagement across Retail and Logistics Leadership, Area Managers, and Store Managers—leveraging your store leadership experience to guide effective change management and communication. What you'll need to have Deep understanding of the Boots UK store structures and operating models, with the ability to navigate and influence within them. Proven track record of working cross-functionally and building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Skilled at translating complex ideas into clear, concise messages that resonate with diverse audiences. Thrives under pressure and delivers high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines. Inspires and leads teams with confidence, clarity, and purpose. Brings strategic thinking and creativity to problem-solving, always looking for smarter, more sustainable solutions. Demonstrated success in Strategic Workforce Planning or a similar HR leadership role, with a strong grasp of workforce design and transformation. It would be great if you also have Well-connected across HR, Central Operations, and the Healthcare Business Unit, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively. Brings hands-on leadership experience from a previous Area Manager or Senior Store Leadership role, with a deep understanding of store operations. Solid understanding of the Pharmacy Transformation portfolio and its strategic objectives, with the ability to align workforce planning to business goals.
