We're looking for a Production Operator to join our production team in a fast-paced and quality-focused environment. You'll be working on the mechanical assembly of electronic products, following detailed instructions and ensuring high standards are met throughout the process. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, has a good eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Follow step-by-step assembly instructions and seek guidance when needed.
* Fit mechanical fixings and carry out tasks like PCB cleaning (manual and machine) and PCB breakout.
* Work to agreed quality standards and follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
* Complete tasks efficiently while avoiding scrap or errors.
* Use the correct tools and complete all required paperwork for traceability (batch records, build reports, etc.).
* Keep your work area clean and organised, following 5S standards.
* Maintain tools and shared equipment and report any issues to your team leader.
* Attend daily team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes.
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.
* Understand how your work impacts key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery and product quality.
Person Specification (Required)
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills through hands-on experience and training.
* Genuine interest in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.
* Good manual dexterity.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to stay focused and organised.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies or defects.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
* A team player with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality databases).
