Key duties:
1. To carry out window cleaning in line with the correct specifications and health and safety standards.
2. Update supervisor of any changes on site.
3. Liaise with supervisor/line manager to review sites and reviews work on Jobber allocation system.
4. Be punctual and attend for duty as requested.
5. To achieve the highest standard of work, with a positive team spirit.
6. To continuously develop and improve quality standards.
7. To meet managers, clients, and company expectations.
8. To respond to any reasonable request of the company or client.
9. To ensure that products, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and stored.
10. To use your initiative to resolve problems where appropriate.
11. Ensure that your appearance and conduct comply with the expectations of the company and that the appropriate clothing/PPE is always worn.
12. Communicate any unresolved cleaning issues.
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience
The job holder will be required to have experience within cleaning.
Interpersonal Skills
When dealing with client personnel and at all levels, the job holder must use tact and diplomacy to gain cooperation from client personnel and when dealing with visitors.
Responsibility
Human Resource Management: The job holder is responsible for checking the quality of their work and supervising less experienced staff when required.
Physical Resource Management: The job holder is responsible for the care of tools, ensuring they are complete and in good condition during use, whether property belongs to the client or Pareto.
Confidentiality is required on all matters related to Pareto and the client.
Communication
Communication is primarily oral/written and mostly internal with the site manager and client’s staff. The job involves liaising with contractors and visitors as needed.
Liaison
The job holder’s dealings with visitors and the media can affect the client’s image. They also liaise with inspectors and governing bodies that may visit the site.
Mental Demands
Judgement and Decision Making: The job holder decides how to tackle allocated work, sometimes with specifications and team consultation. Routine decisions are made daily based on experience, initiative, or client discussions.
Original thought and problem solving are often required, especially for technical issues, with occasional assistance from the Site Manager or client contacts.
Concentration: High levels of concentration are necessary when working on machinery and following health & safety guidelines.
Flexibility: Tasks vary widely, with interruptions from internal sources. The job holder responds immediately or later based on priorities and may be asked to perform tasks outside of their usual duties.
Working Conditions
The job involves working in various conditions, including outside in adverse weather, with responsibilities to assess personal risks related to machinery, noise, and pollution.
