We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join us as an Education Inclusion Officer. The position will be based across Cambridge City and St Neots, supporting three Cambridgeshire secondary schools. This is a permanent role, part-time (22.5 hours per week) during term time only (38 weeks per year), with an immediate start preferred.
Role Overview
As a member of the Alternative Provision and Inclusion Service, you will collaborate with young people, schools, trusts, teachers, and parents/carers to enhance educational outcomes for vulnerable children and young people aged 11-16 at risk of disengagement from learning.

Key Responsibilities
* Advocate for vulnerable children and young people, supporting those with complex needs at risk of exclusion.
* Promote inclusion and ensure compliance with legislation related to suspensions and exclusions.
* Assist schools in building confidence and understanding of evidence-based inclusion strategies.
* Ensure quality assurance of alternative education provisions for students at risk or with medical needs.
* Work directly with vulnerable students and their families on a temporary basis.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
* Have a good understanding of how schools, local authorities, and partner organizations operate.
* Possess experience with curriculum and inclusion methodologies.
* Understand barriers to education faced by young people.
* Have previous experience in a local authority or educational setting.
* Be able to travel independently to various locations.
