About The Role
Please note that this is a full-time role working 38.5 hours per week - nights only. Full flexibility is required.
As a Senior Care Assistant at Fairway View, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our care. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
For you, it will mean planning and implementing care that provides our residents with a sense of security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting someone at the end of their life, or communicating with a resident’s family, you will do so with kindness. You will also be involved in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. It is important that you can recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
