Role Overview:
Proactive and results-driven Business Development Officer who will focus on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to sell software licenses and consultancy services. This role requires excellent sales skills, and the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers in target industries. Experience in software sales is desirable.
Location: Hybrid but must be based in London Area
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify, research, and generate new leads and potential clients interested in software solutions.
* Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline for software licenses and consulting services.
* Engage with prospects through cold calls, emails, networking events, and social media to create interest in our offerings.
* Collaborate closely with technical consultants, solution architects and Sales Lead to tailor proposals and responses to RFI/RFPs
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM tools.
* Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications:
* Desirable to have proven experience in business development or sales roles within the low code software or IT consultancy industry.
* 1–2 years of experience in a sales role, ideally with exposure to targets or sales quotas.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field is preferred.
