Job Description:
Warehouse Operative/Stock Controller – Andover – FM Service Provider – £31,500 per annum (Total package £34,320)
Exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative/Stock Controller to work for an established company in Andover. CBW is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Stock Controller based in a commercial building. The successful candidates will have proven experience in stock control.
Details / Hours:
* Monday to Friday
* 07:30 am to 15:30 pm
* Permanent
* Immediate start
Key duties & Responsibilities:
* Controlling and issuing consumables at both the Andover and Sizewell sites, including proper documentation and replenishment procedures
* Forecasting stock requirements and ordering necessary parts and consumables
* Conducting regular physical stock counts, reporting discrepancies, and updating records
* Managing routine maintenance and charging of asset batteries, reporting issues
* Ensuring compliance with equipment inspections and calibrations, maintaining records
* Safeguarding inspection and calibration certificates, organizing documentation
* Maintaining equipment documentation packs with all relevant compliance evidence
* Managing stock and equipment data within warehouse management systems
* Receiving deliveries and distributing paperwork
* Ensuring safe movements within depots and assisting with loading/unloading
* Routine maintenance like cleaning and refuelling equipment
* Completing pre-start checklists and reporting defects
* Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in yard and storage areas
* Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Depot Manager
* Being available for emergency deployments and stock control duties at staging post locations
* Travel to Sizewell bi-monthly for stock control, expenses paid
Requirements:
* Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems
* Experience in internal and external audits using barcode and manual systems
* Proficiency in Excel and computer literacy
* Experience in stock control with understanding of best practices
* Logical thinker with problem-solving skills
* Methodical and detail-oriented with data accuracy
* Effective communication skills at all levels
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and in emergencies
* Health and Safety conscious due to equipment nature
* Experience in large plant environments is advantageous
* Desirable: 16-tonne FLT license & HGV Class 2
