Your role
Managing a range of new build and refurbishment hotel projects in Newport, each lasting up to 22 weeks. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from inception to handover, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards. You will collaborate with diverse teams to achieve shared goals. Specific duties include:
* Managing multiple projects concurrently in Newport.
* Leading project teams and supply chains to meet cost, time, and quality targets.
* Acting as a strategic link between design, commercial, and site teams.
* Producing professional records, reports, and documentation.
* Surveying sites to identify issues and assess design viability.
* Ensuring customer expectations are met in build and finish.
* Coordinating subcontractors and direct labor forces.
* Providing labor cost estimates for project feasibility and profitability.
Candidate requirements
Minimum three years of experience as a construction contract manager, with a strong background in commercial fit-out, new build, and hospitality refurbishment projects. Essential certifications include SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS. Excellent communication skills are crucial for managing client relationships and team objectives. A keen commercial awareness and thorough understanding of the construction process are highly desirable.
Benefits
