Maintenance Engineer Stoke-on-Trent £50,000–£51,000 12-Hour Shift Pattern (Days & Nights) Overtime (1.5x) 4% Pension A large-scale automated distribution operation is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team. This is a highly reactive maintenance role working across a busy automated facility containing conveyors, cranes, sortation systems and warehouse automation equipment. The Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for: Reactive breakdown maintenance across automated distribution equipment Fault finding on conveyors, cranes, drives, rollers and automated handling systems Working safely within panels using multi-meters and electrical drawings Supporting PPMs and engineering projects when required Responding to plant breakdowns quickly within a fast-paced operation What Were Looking For To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer position, you should have: A recognised engineering qualification equivalent to a Level 3 or above (NVQ, City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc.) Previous experience within manufacturing, automation, logistics or production environments Ability to work safely both mechanically and electrically A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving ability Whats On Offer? £50,000–£51,000 salary Average earnings between £55,000–£60,000 with overtime Significant overtime availability at 15.x Ongoing training on PLCs, SCADA and automation systems Long-term progression into controls or team leader roles Large engineering team with strong technical support Stable long-term opportunity within a highly automated site This Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role would suit engineers from manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, automated warehousing, distribution or production backgrounds.
