Salary: £36,000 - 62,000 per year Requirements: Technical experience in geospatial applications (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Portal, QGIS) Experience in spatial data processing, management, and assurance across large or complex projects Proficiency in automation and scripting (FME, Python, SQL, Arcade, ModelBuilder) Knowledge of spatial data governance, schemas, metadata, and structured delivery within project environments Experience in BIM/GIS integration, digital delivery workflows, or common data environments Ability to translate business or engineering needs into meaningful maps and spatial insights Strong time, task, and project management skills to deliver work to deadlines Understanding of spatial data structures, validation, and quality assurance processes Confidence working independently within established workflows Excellent written and verbal communication of technical concepts Collaborative mindset and sensitivity to both internal and external client needs Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging digital and geospatial technologies An undergraduate or masters degree in a relevant subject (e.g. GIS, Remote Sensing/Earth Observation, Geography, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science) or equivalent industry experience with at least 3 years in the consultancy sector Responsibilities: Deliver high quality geospatial analysis and develop spatial models Produce compelling visualisations for multidisciplinary teams Advise teams on the effective use of geospatial information Manage spatial datasets and integrate them with wider project data Contribute to evidence-based recommendations for clients Technologies: BIM GIS Python SQL Support More: At Arup, we are a collective of designers, consultants, and experts dedicated to sustainable development.
