Job Description - Positive Behaviour Support Worker (25537)
Join us as a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, providing person-centred support to help our customers reach their full potential. This permanent, full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, a salary of £26,645 per annum (pro rata), and benefits including a Health Cash Plan.
About the Role
Support a customer (referred to as J) with complex needs such as learning disabilities, autism, communication challenges, ADHD, sensory processing issues, and non-verbal communication. J enjoys activities like swimming, coffee outings, and people watching at Costa.
Typical Day
1. Assist J in overcoming barriers and achieving a fulfilling life.
2. Recognize and support J’s strengths and aspirations.
3. Use Positive Behavioural Support to promote independence and social inclusion.
4. Monitor mental and physical health, and manage risks positively.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in a complex care setting or willingness to work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care.
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs or distress behaviors.
* Patience, calmness, and adaptability to individual needs and circumstances.
* Experience in risk management ensuring safety and wellbeing.
* Ability to drive and access to an insured vehicle; mileage paid by us.

Job Details
* 37.5 hours/week, including early, late, long days, and/or nights.
* Regular daytime training and meetings, even if working nights/lone shifts.
* Proficiency in technology for support plans, communication, and online learning.
* Comprehensive induction and ongoing support provided.
* Enhanced DBS check required, paid for by us.
