Clinical Scientist - Rehabilitation Engineer

This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months due to funding.
The Rehabilitation Engineering Unit (REU), located in the purpose-built Specialist Rehabilitation Centre at Morriston Hospital, provides services in:
* Special seating / postural management (wheelchairs)
* Pressure ulcer prevention and intervention (PUPIS)
* Functional electrical stimulation (FES)
The REU team includes Rehabilitation Engineers, Technicians, Clinical Scientists, Therapists, Nurses, Trainees, and Administrators. They support assistive technology services for patients in South West Wales. The team assesses, designs, and manufactures approximately 600 medical devices annually, providing engineering solutions to improve function, mobility, and quality of life for people with complex disabilities. They collaborate closely with end-users, families, and healthcare professionals.
