Working with us means being part of a team that is harnessing technology and creativity to disrupt a traditional industry.We are not your average workplace.Ocean Infinity is seeking a CAD Engineer to support the modelling, configuration control, and lifecycle management of our vessels and payload systems.This is a SolidWorks-heavy role focused on maintaining accurate digital representations of complex marine systems, supporting engineering readiness, and ensuring configuration integrity across projects and operations.You will work closely with engineering, QA, and product data teams to maintain high-quality CAD standards, support compliance requirements, and ensure that digital models reflect real-world system configuration.What will you do:Model all Payloads & Vessels in Solidworks;Import third-party CAD models of purchased technology;Create SolidWorks drawings for vessel layouts and configurationsOptimise the company’s assets in a 3D environment;Carefully curate & update any changes to the vessel configuration;Assist with ISO9001/14001 & 45001 compliance;Assist the wider team with the curation & upkeep of Solidworks PDM & Manage;Support vessel & marine system readiness;Deliver specialist engineering support of operations;Who you are:3+ years’ experience of Solidworks;Experience in engineering best practices (including adherence to ISO129-1 & BS8888);Strong interpersonal and time management skills;Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company's purpose;Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;Open and receptive to new and different ideas;Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious;Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;Desirable:Certified Solidworks Professional.High level of proficiency in Product Data Management (Solidworks PDM / Manage) is highly desirable.Use of SolidWorks drafting tools.Experience in a high integrity engineering field is desirable (e.g. automotive, aerospace, marine and/or defence).Salary: up to £45000Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades.
