Job Title: Import Customs Coordinator Location: Newport Salary: £25,500 raising to £27,000 after probation Hours: Full time. Temporary to permanent flexible hours between 7am-6pm this will be 5 days a week. Working 40 hours in between those time. Flexible to cover on call on weekends once a month Here at The Recruitment we are recruiting a Import Customs Coordinator to work for a client of ours based in Newport. Main Job roles: Obtain all required documentation and information from Importers, Exporters, Clients, Warehouse Keepers, Owners of Goods, and other stakeholders before completing declarations. Ensure the accurate preparation and completion of Import / Export documentation through third-party bespoke software or Government Portals Efficiently communicate and email documentation to various parties including Clients, Importers, Exporters, Warehouse Keepers, Haulers, and Agents where appropriate. Maintain clear and timely communication with all stakeholders involved in the Import / Export process. Prepare and input accurate data into the bespoke and third-party operating systems. Regularly update and maintain all systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information To maintain a good and effective working relationships with all management and staff alike. Take reasonable care of your own health, safety and well-being, that of your work colleagues and other personnel who may be affected by your actions or omissions. Be responsible for promptly reporting accidents, 'near miss' incidents, dangerous occurrences and unsafe working practices to the Customs General Manager or Director as per established Company Health and Safety procedures, Communication of any updated local information received to the Manager. Undertake any other reasonable duties as and when requested by your Manager. Required Experience Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and addressing operational challenges. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy. Able to demonstrate flexibility and reliability, including the ability to work out-of-office hours when necessary. Committed to providing excellent customer service and resolving queries efficiently.
