Ward Administrator

This role requires applicants to have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants with a Graduate visa must have at least 18 months remaining.
Responsibilities
* Ensure administrative and clerical work related to patient care is competently managed.
* Provide day‑to‑day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of Courtlands Ward alongside the ward manager and senior colleagues.
* Meet and greet staff, patients and visitors; answer the telephone and handle all enquiries calmly and professionally in accordance with Trust Values and Behaviours.
* Input, update and monitor patient confidential information in Careflow and other Trust systems.
* Maintain accurate and timely paper and computer records for each patient episode.
* Deal efficiently and in a professional manner with enquiries from patients, staff internally and externally.
* Develop IT literacy to use Trust systems effectively.
Key Working Relationships
* Internal: All clinical and non‑clinical staff.
* External: Other NHS trusts, patients, GPs, external care providers.
Qualifications
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Good working knowledge of administrative and clerical practice.
* Good standard of written communication.
* Previous NHS experience.
* Evidence of working in a team.
