This role
As a Director in the Corporate Development group, you will own strategic partnerships, investments, joint ventures, acquisitions, and other meaningful external engagements that support Dematic’s mission and company goals. You will lead full processes including strategy formulation and fundamental decision-making, financial modeling/valuation analysis, due diligence, project management with a variety of collaborators and workstreams, negotiation and deal execution, working with business leaders, internal cross-functional partners, and external advisors. You will work closely with senior leadership at Dematic as their partner for corporate development matters.

Responsibilities
* Identify appropriate opportunities aligned with strategic priorities through interaction with business leaders, investment bankers, venture capitalists, and organic pipeline generation
* Partner with Dematic’s regions and functions to identify and pursue inorganic opportunities for expansion or growth
* Evaluate the benefits (or risks) of potential partnerships or acquisitions and execute the process of building internal and external consensus
* Act as a subject matter expert on valuation and deal structuring
* Lead all pre-transaction diligence efforts
* Coordinate all inorganic workstreams to gain executive approval (at Dematic and KION level) and bring transactions over the finish line
* Work with cross-functional groups within Dematic from signing the term sheet to accurate integration
* Provide insights into inorganic opportunities in the marketplace to senior leaders
* Establish the ongoing processes, skills, and inorganic strategy to build Dematic’s corporate development proficiency amid a rapidly changing industry
Qualifications
* 10+ years of work experience in corporate development/integration, strategy, management consulting, investment banking and/or related fields, including at least 3+ years of team leadership
* Bachelor’s degree required (Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or other relevant majors)
* Hunter mentality to pursue inorganic growth opportunities
* Significant financial modelling and business case expertise with the ability to clearly present business drivers and key outputs
* Attention to detail with strong organization, problem solving, and planning skills
* Strong communication and people skills able to operate at the highest levels internally and externally with credibility
* Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people and geographies
* Understanding of key business drivers in warehouse automation and software to develop the inorganic strategy for the global organization
* Up-to-date passport and willingness to travel to events throughout the year
* Direct reports responsibility and their professional development
