Starter route for aspiring teachers
We welcome applications from aspiring teachers who are passionate about sharing industry skills. The College supports you through our Teaching Academy to work towards qualified teacher status for post-16 compulsory education, via a Cert Ed/PGCE. The programme includes 3-4 hours of delivery per week and mentorship. The starting salary for an unqualified teacher is between £28,300.00 – £30,307.50. Consideration may be given to relevant industry experience and skills with the flexibility to offer increased starting salaries in some circumstances.

Skills, qualifications and experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate of education or PGCE
* Current and valid industry specialism
* Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
* Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
* English and maths minimum Level 2 (Grace C or grade 4 and above)
* Significant experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
* Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry
* Team working
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to meet delivery targets and plans
* Accurate and timely reports and records
* Positive contribution to planning processes
