Key Responsibilities
You will set an achievable production plan for all seating and screen production. The plan should ensure customer lead times are achieved on made to order products and manufactured stocked line availability is always maximised.
* Set a weekly / daily plan for the seating factory, following the agreed planning cycle
* Ensure the plan is achievable from a capacity and raw material availability point of view
* Understand the routes the different products take through the different work groups in the factory, to best maximise efficiencies when creating the plan
* Use the MRP system to ensure manufactured stocked product lines are replenished to minimise back orders
* Communicate with the rest of Planning, Production, Distribution and Sales, any issues with achieving the plan
* Generate reports on works orders that have date changes and issue to all parties on a daily basis
* KPI reporting
* Print off production paperwork and issue to the factory
* Integrate new products into the plan as and when required
* Continually review areas where efficiencies can be found through the planning process
* Assist with Workflow requests
Experience And Skills Required
* Previous experience in a planning role
* Knowledge of MRP systems
* Computer literate (MS Office, Optimising software).
* Understanding of the different processes in the factory and bottlenecks
* Well organised and excellent communicator
* Ability to work in a team or independently.
* Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment with good attention to detail.
