Location: Rugby Start Date: 23/02/2026 (after February half-term) Hours: Full-time or part-time (3 days per week) Contract: Temp to Perm About the schoolA specialist SEND school in Rugby is looking for committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to support children and young people with additional needs in a nurturing, structured environment. Your new roleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be working closely with pupils who may have:
* Autism and communication needs
* Physical disabilities
* Complex learning difficulties
* Social, emotional, or behavioural needs
Your role will involve:
* Supporting pupils in lessons and during structured activities
* Providing 1:1 or small-group support
* Assisting with personal care where required
* Helping pupils develop independence, confidence, and life skills
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
* Contributing to a positive, inclusive school environment
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in SEND, care, or support work
* A calm, patient, and supportive approach
* A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs
* Willingness to assist with personal care when needed
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
