An exciting opportunity has arisen within Oak Tree Housing Association, for an Accounting Modern Apprentice to join our Finance team.
Accounting Modern Apprentice
35 hours per week, Monday - Friday
National Minimum Wage (Apprentice rate, from £7.55 p/h)
18 Month Contract
Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, you will undertake a key role within the Finance team, ensuring financial information is accurately recorded, to provide an efficient and effective finance service.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Completion of Accounting SCQF Level 6 Modern Apprenticeship Qualification
* Carrying out daily, key, financial tasks
* Providing high quality services to colleagues, customers and suppliers
* Assisting with processing all supplier invoices
* Assisting with maintaining customer and supplier data and contact information
* Liaising with suppliers on invoice and payment matters
* Taking payment calls from customers
* Supporting the finance team to deliver a streamlined finance service
* Providing administration support for the finance team
* General day to day office administrative tasks
* Other duties, appropriate to the post, over and above those given in the job description
This role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced finance team, gaining hugely valuable accountancy skills through a structured training programme, supported by Oak Tree HA and the expertise of the Highland Learning Academy (HLA).
Candidates will hold a relevant or equivalent qualification. You should be keen to work and study and thrive on learning new tasks across all aspects of finance.
