Job Description:
Systems Engineering & Verification Engineer (Full-time, Bristol)
Future Programmes UK and International is at the heart of securing the future growth of the Defence business. We are delivering tomorrow's technology by bringing together the company's best engineers, programme managers, and business professionals. Working with governments, primes, and new technology companies worldwide, we deliver innovative power and propulsion solutions to meet emerging customer requirements.
The Systems Engineering, Validation & Verification group is recruiting engineers to support key defence programmes, working with stakeholders to meet project milestones and support the Defence Combat strategy for the next 50 years. These roles involve developing new engineering products and services, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to understand and develop technical requirements, and exploring new practices like Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Why join Rolls-Royce? We are an iconic brand at the forefront of innovation, designing systems that provide critical power with safety and reliability. We offer a supportive, inclusive environment with opportunities for career growth, a competitive salary, and benefits including bonuses, support assistance, and discounts. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with an expectation to attend the workplace approximately three days a week.
Responsibilities include leading systems engineering across the product lifecycle, facilitating stakeholder requirements, establishing information structures, developing verification strategies, managing project risks, deploying new SE tools, and representing Rolls-Royce on customer and partner groups.
Candidate requirements include a degree in a STEM subject, experience in engineering, systems-level thinking, and effective communication skills. Preferably, candidates will have knowledge of Gas Turbine operation, experience with SE tools like IBM DOORS or Cameo, and familiarity with standards such as ARP4754A/ED-79A. Security clearance may be required for some roles, and UK nationality is necessary due to the nature of work.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from all backgrounds, including refugees, to foster innovation and problem-solving.
