Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor Job Summary The housekeeping department is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas. We ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay for guests by meeting established standards of cleanliness and service. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and high standards of hygiene across all assigned areas. This role ensures that rooms and public areas meet organizational and guest satisfaction standards. Key Responsibilities Assisting the Housekeeping Manager with the folllowing Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff. Inspect rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with standards Assign daily tasks and schedules to housekeeping team members Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment Handle guest requests and resolve complaints related to housekeeping services Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with company policies Report maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department Prepare daily reports on housekeeping operations and staff performance Requirements & Qualifications Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role (supervisory experience preferred) Strong leadership and team management skills Good attention to detail and organizational abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety procedures High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality certification is a plus) Key Skills Leadership and supervision Time management Problem-solving Customer service Attention to detail Working Conditions Physically active role (standing, walking, lifting) May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals Fast-paced environment.
