About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our Northwest team. If you are enthusiastic, committed, and appreciate the vital role of foster parents, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision.
* Conduct regular supervision sessions with allocated foster parents, monitoring their practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate full participation in meetings and decision-making processes.
* Engage in recruitment, training, and supervision of foster parents while promoting the welfare of children placed with Orange Grove.
Requirements
* Hold a Social Work England qualification or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
* Experience working within fostering and a comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
* A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
* Willingness to participate in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position with a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will work 37 hours per week and may occasionally need to work after 5:00 PM or on weekends.
