We are recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school in the Solihull area of the West Midlands, for a dedicated Business Studies Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a pro-active and dynamic team, delivering a high-quality curriculum to ambitious students.
About you:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experienced teacher of business studies within UK secondary schools
- Excellent curriculum based knowledge and understanding
- Ability to plan and mark and differentiate to support various learners
- Previous experience teaching/supporting children with special educational needs
- Enhanced, child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
About the role:
- Teach high quality business studies lessons to a range of year groups and abilities
- Cater lessons to suit individual needs within each class
- Manage classroom behaviour efficiently, implementing appropriate techniques
- Collaborate with staff within the department and wider school community
- Actively promote student well-being and safety
- Assess pupils progress through regular marking and tracking
- Provide regular and informative feedback to all pupils to support their learning and development
