Job Overview

A Community Support Coordinator will play a key role in delivering community services for vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire. The role involves managing care staff, overseeing the delivery of care services, and ensuring quality and compliance with the Supporting Your Independence across South Lanarkshire Council policies.


Location and Working Details

Location: East Kilbride

Hours: 35 hours per week, permanent

Salary: £42,228 – £43,158


Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage a team of Home Carers, including supervision, performance management, and staff development.
* Assess service users’ needs and organise appropriate care referrals, monitoring and reviewing care within agreed timescales.
* Manage and organise care for service users, ensuring high quality, person‑centred care and compliance with safeguarding procedures.
* Ensure services meet National Health and Social Care Standards, including preparing for care inspections.
* Identify, manage and mitigate risks within the care at home service.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to improve outcomes.


Qualifications and Registration

You must hold a qualification that fully meets the South Lanarkshire Social Care Council (SSSC) registration requirements for the post and obtain full SSSC registration within three months of commencing employment.

Proof of qualifications must be supplied with the application.
