What is the job role?
The Governors of the school wish to appoint an enthusiastic and caring person who will work effectively with the business team under the direction of the Headteacher. The successful candidate will have pride in the appearance of our school and will be motivated to ensure a safe environment for our children and staff. They will be responsible for making sure site activities including Health and Safety, caretaking and compliance monitoring are carried out effectively, and will deliver a high‑quality maintenance service in a busy school environment.
Working Pattern:
Term time hours 7am – 9.15am & 3pm – 6pm (Split Shift)School holidays 8am – 1.15pm
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an efficient and highly organised individual to manage our school premises and grounds.
* Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its application.
* Knowledge of janitorial/security duties and the ability to deliver a skilful handyman service.
* The ability to communicate well with all levels of staff, pupils, parents and visitors to the school.
* The ability to follow agreed regulations and procedures relating to the duties of the role.
* A friendly and approachable nature, and a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
