Role Overview: To ensure that the delivery of Data Centre electrical aspects are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all of our customer/s. To ensure the Data Centre installations are to current regulations and to be able to work as a team member and manage the Data Centre team and Data Centre programme efficiently. To support the account requirements for electrical compliance for regulatory conformity and workmanship standards during the project execution, and the project completion stages. What you will do: To lead and develop the EMCOR UK Data Centres Electrical Projects team through effective communication, Data Centre training and development, ensuring that the staff members are fully Data Centre competent and trained to undertake key Data Centre tasks, surveys and installations. To support & managed with the Project Manager the Data Centre electrical installation and to ensure the Data Centre “Schedule of Requirements” (SOR’s) and associated drawings are followed. To become a NICEIC Electrical qualifying supervisor (QS) and to work with the Company NICEIC qualifying manager to ensure documents are completed and issued correctly. Ensuring accurate collation and compilation of project completions documentation to support the internal operational teams. At times provide technical solutions as and when required and provide technical guidance on project deliverables to project teams when required. Produce/assist in the development of the processes relating to accurate compilation of electrical completion certification. On “live” projects, undertake audits with the operational team’s onsite reviews to ensure quality of workmanship and regulatory standards and adherence to design criteria is met. To carry out compliance duties. Support the operational teams with such matters of ensuring equipment and tooling to our operational teams is maintained, in accordance to legislation and calibration periods are adhered to. Support the account Technical Manager and other account NICEIC QS’s with annual assessments and compilation of assessment supporting documentation. To support the safe working practices adopted by EMCOR UK are followed and that the site teams Eskills are completed. To develop partnerships with our suppliers to achieve maximum mutual benefit and rationalise the supplier database. To identify any shortfalls in Data Centre training with the operatives and to work with the administration teams to ensure these gaps are closed. Representing the client's & EMCOR’S interests About the role What you will need: Qualified to SVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 2382 -10 18th Edition, minimum requirements C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing C&G 2391-20 Design & Verification preferred. ECS/CSCS valid grade card Experience of industrial & commercial “Alternating Current” & “Direct Current” electrical installations. Experience of installation of LV & DC distribution systems. Experience of DC / UPS system. Experience of safe DC & AC working practices and permit to work systems. Experience in CDM Projects in construction and building services Highly experienced in all sectors of the electrical industry and the associated legislation to those sectors. Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis Be able to communicate effectively and have flexible approach to work patterns. First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but advantageous if already certified. Management of an on site team essential To be able to carryout daily briefings and to actively seek to ensure “SOR’s” & drawings are followed.
