We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join our team at a thriving Primary school in Carmarthenshire. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school and providing a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Carry out general maintenance, repairs and site improvements Ensure the security and safety of the school site, including unlocking/locking the premises Monitor and maintain heating, lighting and other utilities Keep the school grounds clean, tidy and well-presented Support with health and safety compliance across the site Liaise with contractors and suppliers when required Requirements: Previous experience in a caretaker, site management or maintenance role is desirable Good practical skills in basic repairs and maintenance Strong awareness of health and safety Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to be a keyholder and respond to out-of-hours emergencies if required Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Child DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 references.
